Toastie Mac OS

Toast Titanium 10 (this page we're on) requires OSX 10.5 Leopard, and Leopard has Blu-Ray (plus total drive detection) without 'support' being added. I read and write Blu-Ray on my PowerMac G4 without adding drive-profiles, and I do this in Tiger and Leopard. ‎From the makers of the best-selling Roxio Toast, Toast Audio is the easiest and fastest way to create Audio CD discs on your Mac. Important Note: This version only supports OS X 10.10 and later. If you encounter problems installing or using Toast Audio, please contact us at AppSupport@corel.com.

Sorry for the stupid question but I am very new to Apple. I recently purchased the new I Mac with intel core duo. I have the super drive that burns cd's and dvd's. I see people talking about toast, which I assume is a buring software? Is this something that I need or do I already have it? If someone could explain the program Toast for me (what it's for and if I need it), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for any and all help.

Roxio Toast is an optical disc authoring and media conversion software application for Mac OS X.Its name is a play on the word burn, a term used for the writing of information onto a disc through the use of a laser. Get home (kid yeti) mac os. I have been using Toast 11 Tit. Successfully for many years on my Mac Pro with OS 10.6.8. Several days ago it refused to open at all repeatedly giving the report attached. After removing the Application as per Roxios instructions together with all prefs etc. AND Repairing Permissions on my system.
